ESPN Radio 101.7 The TEAM Extends Partnership With New Mexico United, Gives The Curse A Louder Voice in 2020

New Mexico United have announced in a press release this afternoon, that they are extending their partnership with ESPN Radio 101.7 The TEAM through the 2021 season.
More familiar faces are jumping onboard over at ESPN 101.7 The Team. David Carl and RJ Montano, commonly known as the guys who bring you The CurseCast, are now extending their airwave campaign as the new hosts for United Weekly. United Weekly features commentary on previous and upcoming matches, interviews with players, coaches and staff of New Mexico United. The show airs at 11 am – 12 pm MT on Saturdays.
Carl and Montano are the Duke City’s distinguished duo also hosting The CurseCast on The Beautiful Game Network (BGN), as well as, leading United’s charismatic supporter’s group, The Curse. They will bring much content through the 2020 season.
In addition to the existing radio and digital streaming partnership between New Mexico United and ESPN 101..7 The Team, The Team will broadcast all 17 home games, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open matches, and select away matches. Adam Diehl returns and will be joined by a new partner, Andy Hageman. The pairing will call all matches for the radio broadcast.
The partnership had started on April 29, 2019, after United’s inaugural season was underway. What started as 15 matches will at least grow by 10 matches this season. The expansion of this partnership is predicated on accessibility and accessory with the entire United fan base in mind.

We are committed to delivering exciting United game broadcasts and much more for United’s dedicated fan base again this season”.
The first broadcast will take place for New Mexico United’s pre-season friendly vs. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, February 8 at 12 pm MT, with a pre-game show at 11 am MT. Fans can also look forward to catching New Mexico United’s first match at Austin Bold FC on Saturday, March 7.
